Left menu bar creation

Hi All,

i have a requirement i.e want left side nav bar with my own content
and if i click on a link it will display particular portlet into right side.

i findout some solution by using navigation.vm in themes or web content display portlet.
but i dnt knw hw to use web content display portlet(if any body give example or some doc how to map portlets and create links)is easy for me
Any help is appreciated and its an urgent requirement for me..please help me to achieve this

I dont think you can do it this way.
What you can instead do this in the navigation add links to pages which have your specific portlet and the navigation portlet on the left hand side.
