Cannot add account in Mail Portlet 5.2.3

Hello,
I am trying to configure my email account in the Mail portlet but when I click on Configure Email accounts. It just writes Add a New Email account and nothing else. I do not get the options to add the gmail account or a normal account. It just shows me as I have attached the picture.
Please can anyone help me resolve this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
