Latest GA not working

Hi,

this is another report about a default install. As mentioned already in another post, its impossible to add portlets to a page in Chrome.

However, today I wanted to login into the default installation and give it another try, but whatever I am trying to do, its impossible to get the login box. I tried the /c/ uri but it redirects to the welcome page :
http://appolix.com:8081/en_GB/login, which is empty !

So finally does it mean the default setup is not intended to work out of the box ? I really didn't do anything because it was not possible to alter the pages anyway.

I can't believe that it has gotten even worst with Liferay. Just a few days I had to present Liferay to an interested customer who paid me for the setup and I am looking again pretty stupid.

a little gotcha here :

1. drop all tables from the initial install.
2. remove the welcome-theme from webapps
3. restart the Liferay instance and let re-create default data.
4. adjust the virtual host of the default site to your domain (important)

seems to work now, except that you can't add portlets to a page with Chrome (js crashes somewhere).

Did you see any error in logs?

sorry, I just checked all logs, and no, nothing suspicious or any kind of error in the logs. I guess, it came with the welcome-theme which behaved indeed very odd in other cases as well.
