access database from control panel?

hi, is there in liferay a way to access and edit the database from the control panel interface??

No way to edit database tables directly, Can you please explain why we need to do this, for which requirement?

As per I know
1. You can configure DB for Liferay portal access through UI using portal-setup-wizard.properties
2. You can clear DB Cache using Control Panel -> Server Administration

It can be possible through only Liferay API / JSON services / built in functionalities.

In fact, you want to update role_ table, Manage Roles functionality is available on control panel which deals Role Model Object.
