Javascript not included in a WSRP portlet?

Hi,
In Liferay 6.1+ CE versions, it seems the javascript files added in a liferay-portlet.xml file are not included to the page, when the relevant portlet is used as WSRP producer. Please could someone confirm this? Is there any workaround?
