You propably have already read Liferay Portal Enterprise Edition - FAQ

Liferay Enterprise version has following that Community version does not:
- you have to pay some money to get it
- 5+ years support, longer supported lifespan, so you can stick to same major version to your portal many years.
- There is subscription plans available that guarantee some response time for tickets.
- backported bug fixes -> Less bugs
- More optimized performs better
- There is also EE only plugins at Marketplace.
- Liferay Developer Studio
- Optional legal coverage

license is different. ce is lgpl and ee is proprietary.

True, license is pretty imporant to mention

CE revision and EE revision are also different. I think there are several EE revision released within CE version releases.
This means there may be some functional and api differences between CE and EE because revision number is different.

I think there are some code differences in in the core liferay such as EE being able to accept patches.
