In order to deploy any type of JSF portlet within Liferay Portal, you will need to use Liferay Faces Bridge, which is a sub-project of Liferay Faces.
You can then compliment your JSF portlet with any of the following component suites:
As of the time of this writing, Liferay Faces Alloy contains only a handful of component tags (basically the ones that map to the aui: JSP tags that ship with the portal). In the future Liferay Faces Alloy will contain additional JSF component tags that wrap the Alloy UI JavaScript widgets.
You can then compliment your JSF portlet with any of the following component suites:
- Liferay Faces Alloy (another sub-project of Liferay Faces).
- ICEfaces
- PrimeFaces
- RichFaces
