Getting exception on Users Page after saving a user

Junior Member Postagens: 78 Data de Entrada: 10/03/11 Postagens Recentes
Hi,

I am getting an exception when I save any user on Liferay Portal 6.0

Attached is the log of the exception stack trace.

My user is saved successfully though. I can even see the entries in the user_ table.

Could you please let me know what this problem is?
Reply soon.

Thanks!

to just add to it, I get following error messages:

Users is temporarily not available.

You have entered invalid data(this error message is displayed even when I have entered unique data)

Have I missed something in the Liferay 6.0 environment?

Please let me know soon.

Are you clustering or did you delete a user from your program?

no Hitoshi, no clustering.

Moreover, I have only added users to the portal, never deleted.

This is happening even when I do a fresh unzip of portal server, start the server and add a new user.

Could you help?

What's the exact version and bundle of Liferay you are using? Seems you're having trouble updating one of the table liferay uses when creating an user. This usually happens when deleteUser(user) is used to delete an user.

Hitoshi,

This is the version of the Liferay bundle that I am using:
liferay-portal-tomcat-6.0.6-20110225.zip

Is there a problem there. Fresh unzip also gives me issues.

Thanks.

Are you on Windows? Using File Explorer to extract liferay zip file usually does not extract all files. I use something like 7zip (open source:http://www.7-zip.org/) to extract files.

Yes Hitoshi, I am on Windows.

I tried extracting with 7-zip, but no success. The issue persists.

Is there anything that I missed in my Liferay environment set up?

I have
Liferay portal tomcat folder
liferay plugins sdk
ant set up
MYSQL properly set up

what else am I missing? Could you guide?

just one thing, I have 5.2.3 version still on my machine. Is that because of which I have problems?

I thought you were just using the Liferay Tomcat bundle.
