Liferay 6.1 Release Candidate Available

Hey gang,

Today we released the first (and hopefully last) Release Candidate build for Liferay 6.1 - Check it out by downloading from the downloads page, and let us know what you think. Standard bug filing rules apply - if you find a bug on 6.1.0 RC and you believe it to be a new (unreported) bug, simply select 6.1.0 RC in the Affected Version/s field in JIRA.

Just one question: I cant find the tunnel-web. Should we use tunnel-web from beta4 release or just wait?

This is a tool that can be used to upgrade your Liferay database without having to run Liferay itself. See this ticket and read the readme.txt inside the tool for details. Here's the source code to the upgrader.

Not needed anymore AFAIK. It has been merged into liferay-portal.war
