What is the relation between servicecomponent table and Service.properties??

Never worried about that.. but If you have deployed a portlet with a custom service.. look at service.properties and the table in database.. you will know the difference/similarity..

Seems like using service.properties and service.xml this table data is created. data_ field holds the sql for the custom entities..

Hi Venka,

build-number in service.properties is compared with build-number of servicecomponent table at time of portlet deployment in order to update tables in database.
That is build-number in database table should be less than that in service.properties then only tables would be updated.
