issue installing Xuggler

Please can anyone tell how to solve this issue regarding Xuggler. I have already placed this line on my portal-ext.properties----editor.wysiwyg.portal-impl.portlet.ddm.text_html.ftl=ckeditor as suggested by this link-----https://dev.liferay.com/discover/portal/-/knowledge_base/7-0/publishing-basic-web-content but my mp4 video cannot be previewed. So I thought may Xuggler is necessary. But while installing Xuggler I'm facing this issue. Please help.

Likely means there's an OS exception in your logs probably pointing at a permissions error not being able to add the jar to ROOT/WEB-INF/lib.

I'm just getting this much in my console and in my ROOT/WEB-INF/lib there is this jar present from before. Still I'm not able to preview uploaded videos. Can you please help?

I'm using Liferay DXP. Sorry I dont know what is patch level. How to check it if you may please tell me then I can check and tell you.

Ok let's guess you haven't got the required patch level.

Can you set this property in your portal-ext.properties:

xuggler.jar.url=https://files.liferay.com/mirrors/xuggle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/share/java/xuggle/xuggle-xuggler/5.4/

and restart Liferay? Then try to install Xuggler again from Control Panel.

Then, please follow David's advice and check your logs to see what is actually happening. Probably it's an issue about permissions.

In order to generate video and audio previews, please follow the instructions for Xuggler in the Server Administration section of the Control Panel at: http://<server>/group/control_panel/manage/-/server/external-services. Error message is: no xuggle in java.library.path

Are there any other log after that part? Seems it can't download that file. Are you using any kind of proxy between your Liferay server and Internet?

About your second question: no, there aren't any other video/audio preview out of the box.

Ok so then you should manually download jar from here:

https://files.liferay.com/mirrors/xuggle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/share/java/xuggle/xuggle-xuggler/5.4/xuggle-xuggler-arch-x86_64-w64-mingw32_LIFERAY-PATCHED-1.jar

copy it to here:

E:\Liferay7\liferay-dxp-digital-enterprise-tomcat-7.0-sp1-20161027112321352\liferay-dxp-digital-enterprise-7.0-sp1\tomcat-8.0.32\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\lib\

then restart Liferay. After that, you should be able to enable Xuggler from Control Panel.

Hello Gabriel,

.mp4 video is getting supported properly. However, .swf video gets loaded but does not work.
Can you suggest some ways to resolve the same?

I am unable to play the videos when count goes up from 3. Can you suggest some solution for the same?

Moreover, can you suggest a way to determine the list of file formats supported by Xuggler?

Since, Liferay 7.1 is the upcoming version, can you confirm if Xuggler is compatible with it, and if the steps for setting up the same are any different?
