From what I understand it appears that the Asset Publisher has two views -- a list and detail view.
I have tags and categories displayed in both views.
The AP filters the list by tag or category if I click the tag or category in the list view -- no issue here.
However, if I click a tag or category in the detail view, the page refreshes and remains on the same detailed view and does not switch back to the list view and filter based on the tag you clicked. The only time it does this is if I've let the page sit for a long period of time (20+ min roughly).
I've tried manipulating the URL, but nothing is working as I'd hoped.
Below is my tag URL I've created that filters the AP correctly in the list view, but not the detail view:
