Liferay 6.2 Calendar Portlet queries

Hi,
i m using Liferay 6.2 which is Active Directory Configured and for Calendar Portlet under Liferay Documentation its mentioned that calendar event invitation can be send to users,group and organisation but m not able to send event invitation to user group so can anybody please help me to send event invitation to user group and can anyone please provide information about how to send email notifications and remainders for event.
