forgot password functionality is not working

Hi,

Liferay Control Panel on Portal > Settings > Authentiation > General,
Allow users to request forgotten passwords? = Ticked
Allow users to request password reset links? = Ticked

click on forgot password link

User clicks "Forgot Password". User provided the correct screenname, correct Captcha text. then it's redirecting to security question page. after answering the security question and clicking on send new password, nothing is happening.It's just reloading the page and again showing that security question page (when I enter wrong answer also, same thing happening).And user is not getting any new password email or reset link.

when I create a new user in the portal, it's sending a welcome email to the user. so, there is nothing wrong with the Mail Configuration.

can someone please help me with this..

when I create a new user in the portal, it's sending a welcome email to the user. so, there is nothing wrong with the Mail Configuration.


Things to check:
  • Does the user that you're trying to reset the password for have a correct email address?
  • Is there anything in the logs?
  • Does your mailserver get any connection from Liferay in the moment you're requesting the password?
  • Is the mailserver up?

1. Yes,the user have correct email address.
2. No, nothing in logs.(not getting any errors)
3. The mail server is up.
4. I think it's not making any connection to the mailserver when I click on Send Newpassword.
