LIferay CE and EE (Diff in import export)

Hi All,

i need an urgent help from all of you. Can anyone please tell me that in liferay Community we do not have provision to import lar file in a different version. Can liferay Enterprise Edition gives us this facility to import/export lar files between different versions.

You cannot transfer between liferays of different version; and version has to be exact. For example, you cannot move between DXP fix pack 4 and 5.

And it's even more restrictive. The same languages must be in both the source and the target. The portlets may also need to be in both if you've included all portlet data on the page.

i have still a little confusion after reading your answer. Is that not possible even in Enterprise edition?

Both EE/DXPs must be at the exact same version, patches (fixpacks) and all. They cannot be used to move between different versions. All of my other listed restrictions also apply to different EE/DXP versions.
