Just one thought: Possible improvement for the Language Portlet

Hi!

I just stumbled across this issue https://www.liferay.com/community/forums/-/message_boards/message/6402353. It seems to have its root in a problem of finding the right p_auth parameter for the URL of the portlet.

But I was wondering if that is still needed, since Liferay 6 has the possibilty to switch the locale by using an URL, eg. /<locale>/web/guest/home

So would it make sense to change to that URL based switching of the locale?
On my point of view this would be a more transparent way to change the locale.
It might not be that hard to change the taglib that creates the URLs.


Any comments on this?

I personally don't like to see the <locale> in the url and tend to turn it off.
