Group Chat Portlet Development

Greetings All,

I have a requirement where i need group chat feature.
Does any one have any suggestions on how i can proceed on that in liferay ?

Possible Options i thought of

1. Using Web Workers

Hi Parth ,

Are you implementing your custom portlet?
Have you gone through liferay chat portlet?
I think first you have go through chat portlet & analyse portlet code & functionality, after analyzing you will find a way that how you can implement your custom chat portlet.

Hi Kushagra Khanna,

Yes i have to make my custom portlet,and i did went through chat portlet.
But there are requirements which can not be satisfied through it , like
a. Chat only for some users & Not all
b. Group Chat.

On Marketplace you can find Messenger for Liferay
it costs money though.
