Bad translation

Hi,

Since there is no search option in Liferay translation, hereby some feedback.

I just installed Liferay 7 and I am stuck already.

I get following message on the last step of installation:
"Wijzigingen treden in werking zodra het portaal opnieuw is gestart. De portal nu opnieuw. "
I think it's Dutch or Dutch Belgium.

This is:
1) not correct Dutch
2) Unclear what I have to do now.

The last part translates like:
"The portal again now."

Again what now? ;-)

Hello Koen,

It means you need to restart your server, nothing more nothing less.

thanks for reporting this. Translation is a community effort, and we keep the translation either in github (core - and numerous modules) (but that's quite technical) or in our translation tool pootle. There you can log in with your screen name from this site (koen.rens) and the password from here. Once logged in, you can make suggestions on changes to languages that you speak - you'll see the original english value there. Version 7 is still far from completed (in terms of translation) and we welcome any help we can get.

One major advise then is a search functionality.
If I would have been able to search for the wrong text, I would have added the improvement myself ;-)
I tried to find it, but gave up as it's really difficult to find out where to find which text.

Just a small point of feedback.

You're right - I've just discovered myself that the (automatic) translation mechanism for Liferay 7 changed significantly and there will be quite some work to do for translations. Currently pootle or git should both work - I'm making sure that this indeed is the case.

Is there any documentation on translating through git yet? Also, do you still have to do the pull requests to different people for different modules?

great question. I'm currently trying to find out the preferred workflow (when in git) myself. I'll update this post, if nobody else preempts me here.
