Sorry for the long pause -- I was out of reach.
Do you still need my (ugly) patches?

As for the merge into PrimeFaces/Bridge -- as they are ugly, I'd like to discuss them (here) with the staff first.

I have not been able to work on this enough ... looks like the real fix will require quite a bit more work.
Yes, I would like to go through your "ugly" patches to make sure I understand the issue thoroughly, so please send them to me.

Might be a while before I can get good fixes get into all of the places they are needed, but I want to keep this thread going to track the fixes.
