Document Libray access via SFTP

Hello,

I have a client who is requesting the ability to upload and download large numbers of files to the Liferay portal's document library via SFTP.

I've read some of the forum threads about implementing Alfresco for its document manager or altering the PM of Jackrabbit but am not certain what the easiest and most effective method might be.

Any pointers as to how I might implement this?
