Cannot set target="_blank", system doesn't save the changes

Hi guys,
I'm new in using liferay but I know it is almost similar to any other cms. Recently, I've been assigned to take over a liferay portal from the previous person in charge.

My issue:
I want to open a link in new window. Which is a simple thing I guess. The problem is, every time I set the link target using the editor feature or add code directly on the source code and publish, the changes doesn't apply. The system doesn't save the changes.

The portal using liferay 6.1.2 ee version.

Please does anyone have any idea on how to check why the system doesn't save the changes when I set the link target. I've tried to change the link name and add other description, the system does save the changes but when I set the link target it won't save the changes that I've made

Are you still facing this issue OR Issue has been resolved. Are you able to set target="_blank ?
