RE: Asset Publisher "view in specific portlet"

Hi all,

I would like to use the asset publisher in LR 5.2.3 with "view in specific portlet" on WebContent
In the official build the code is clear , ignores this setting and shows the webcontent inside the Asset Publisher (Read More » )

I can see in the latest code there are some major enhancements to the asset publisher, but .... not in supporting "View in a specif Portlet" for webcontent.

Of course NOT one would say because what portlet on which page to use?

So how could I resolve my problem of making a persistent dynamic navigationlsit of "News" articles say in the left layout frame and showing the chosen article in the right layout-pane?

Is there a possibility of a dynamic webcontent page like
http://localhost:8080/c/journal/view_article_content?groupId=16&articleId=10146&version=1.0
but then in the portal context (ie with navigation and the likes)

Anyone some pointers in achieving my goal?

The RSS portlet is sooo almost there for that.

It's certainly almost what i needed

The Asset publisher is more flexible and has the posibility to use tags as filter, etc.

But nevertheless I will consider this option.

Yah... I had someone on here tell me that Liferay is like a hot chick. At first glance, she seems like the "total package" but then you date for a while and find out she's got all kinds of annoying habits. Things that, had you known about in the beginning, you might have passed on.

There is a *lot* about Liferay that is right on the edge of being really really cool. Subscribing to the blog by tag would be spiffy.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is *almost* what I'm looking for.

I have a document library, and I am trying to get updates via RSS for when a new document is uploaded. I tried to see about doing it via the document library method, but I couldn't see any options.... I am now exploring the asset publisher, is this the correct method? What do you suggest?

To my knowlegde there is no RSS feed in the Asset Publisher.

I didn't think it was that easy. I just wondered if there was a way to implement RSS, which would notify subscribers as to when a new document is added.
