Liferay & Linkedin Comparison

Dear All,

When we reply in the Liferay community, it shows only the two options of Reply and Reply with Quote, but Linkedin have the options of Reply Privately, which it alows people to communicate Privately. Can Liferay have this function ?

It *can* but it currently does not. There is a thread here about Private Messaged (in the Suggestion Forums) that you might want to subscribe to.

Currently, the concept of PMs does not exist in your Message Boards.

Thanks. Actually,we are working on a project which based on Liferay portal and Linkedin features,trying make our integration much more flexible ,so it would be very appreciative if anyone have such experience and would like to share the thoughts.......

You really ought to look at the PM thread. It's in the Suggestion Forum, I think. Someone is already coding it.
