I'm very glad to see that there is so much activity around this forum category. We'll start meeting to plan 5.4 soon and I'll make sure to take the conclusions from this conversations with me to try to add as many of these features to the roadmap.
One thing that would help me to do that is to put all the wiki articles resulting from this conversation together so that they can be browsed and searched independently of the documentation articles.
To that end I've created a new wiki node called "
Proposals". I've created an initial page with an explanation of the best process to participate for new people that will join the initiative.
Now, I'd like to ask you for a favor. Unfortunately the wiki doesn't have the ability to move articles from one node to another (we should add that request to the wiki too ;) ), so I need your help moving them manually (by copying the content from the old article to the new one). To avoid duplicate work here is the process I propose:
- Identify the pages you've created yourself, or extended considerably
- Edit it and copy the content
- Create a new page with the same name within "Proposals"
- Delete the old page
- Let us know in this thread
