L5.2 - User in database but missing from users list

We are importing users from LDAP (Lotus) which is fine; however, I have some users that are in the database, but not found when searching for them through the users list.

Where do I begin to troubleshoot the issue? Looking in the User_ table and comparing missing users to found users, the info seems pretty much the same.

There are specific fields that you MUST have for users to be imported

First Name
Last Name
Email Address
Screen Name
and one other I can't recall. If you don't have ALL of that, it probably won't import.

if they're found in the User_ table but not from search, try reindexing your Users

i upgraded from 4.4.2 to 5.2.3 all gone well, but in control panel i can't see the users when i search. users can login and everyone there in the database why adminstrators can't see the users???

i set the users delete property to true in portal-ext, throwing an exception GropImpl Blah Blah, seems wol causing problem. did you tried these things upgrade+ delete users?

user private pages also giving problems definitely after upgrade in 5.2.3

Reindex all search indexes i done through serveradministration in the controlpanel. doesn't help


reindexing users? can you explain more , i will try that because i thought its permission or upgrade problem.

Here we go i got it working by simply -

Go to Server administration ------>

1.click on Datamigration tab if you see button for permission upgrade, click on that.
2.Reindex all search indexes under resouces tab

Reindexing did work. It seems like it took a few minutes/hours before those users were now displayed in listings; however, I do see those users now.

There is a Reindex all indexes - see if that does it for u. It works for MOST people ;P
