multi language pages, how to ?

hi all,

i just download and install the latest liferay portal. i want to add a page in two language, english and persian.
for example i need a Home page in both of persian and english language.

i want let visitor change site language, i don't know that i need one Page or Two actually.

if two ? how to configure that which page is for which language, and hide the second from users ?

if one ? how to add two content for one page ? .

If you want an article for example to be available in several languages you have to create an article for each language. However, you should use one single portlet to display those articles. You can use the same pages with the same portlets for all languages.

how about pages ? my page title most change in deferent languages,

for example Home[English] and Home[Japanese] ????? i want to know if i had two page in two language or one page with 2 different content.

You can reach the page settings by clicking on the menu item "Page Settings" in the main menu in the upper right corner of your Liferay site. Next to the textbox where you fill in the name of the page there is a dropdown with all the available languages. Just choose the language in question and fill in the name in this language and save.

با سلام وروز بخیر
ما هم مشکلی مشابه مشکلی که شما مطرح کرده بودید داریم. (دو زبانه کردن پرتال: فارسی وانگلیسی)
صفحه ورودی ما از دو لینک برای دو زبان تشکیل شده .با وردود به پرتال با هر یک از این زبانها صفحاتی متفاوت داریم.
نحوه دو زبانه کردن پرتال لایفری به چه صورت است؟
ممنون می شیم اگر هرجه زودتر به ما جواب بدین ؟

چتد زبانه کردن لایفری خیلی ساده است
کافیه در فایل
portal-ext.properties
این خط کد را اضافه کنید
locales=en_US,fa_IR
