Remote staging not working for Document and media files

Hi,
When I setup remote staging from Machine A to Machine B, then all webcontents and document media files (which are associated with the webcontents) are staged properly. But all the documents and media which are not associated with any webcontent are not elevated. Is tehre any settings which I am missing while setting up the remote staging?
