SO and MySQL

Hello,

I am trying to install SO with MySQL 5.1. I've updated the root.xml file. So that liferay uses my MySQL Database,
but opon starting liferay I get tons of exceptions.
I could all trace it back to an Error
"Could not find a User with primary key 10707."

If I use the MySQL-root user. The problem vanishes. So I guess it's a configuration problem in MySQL

Is there a guide on how to run SO with mysql.

BTW. The retrieve Password function on liferay.com seems to be broken.
I don't get to see an image for number verification.

Not sure on this one but we'll try to make some changes in the beta 2 release to make it easier to switch databases.

Hi,

I am trying to do the same thing and I finally figure it for Social Office. You have to edit the file:

$LIFERAYBASE/conf/Catalina/localhost/ROOT.xml

There you put the DB you want and then on first run it creates everything. Still trying to figure out liferay 5.2.1 and where you change it.
