RE: PortletPreferences DB record Gone ??

Could anyone tell me which part of the program triggers this ?
My portlet preferences record gone from "PortletPreferences" db table as I closed my portlet, I would wish to keep the record, that so that it could be reuse the next time the portlet is opened at the page again.

Need help badly, thanks.
