We are planning to upgrade our portal from Liferay 4.4.x to 6.1.1 Here is the environment details
Earlier Environment
Liferay Version: 4.4.0
Database: Oracle 11G (At first it was 10G. Later it was upgraded to 11G)
Liferay Version: 6.1.1-ce-ga2
Database Used: Oracle 11G
Scenario: We are just upgrading the liferay and the UI & user management should not be changed. When we first try to upgrade to LR 6.0.6 we were forced to reset the user password since the encryption algorithm has been changed fron 4.x to 6.x. I've heard that users can be migrated to 6.1.1 with out requiring to reset their passwords.
Could some please tell me the exact approach to upgrade the Liferay Database...? I've modified our theme and its working fine in 6.1.1. Gone through some Liferay documentation of upgrade process. But did not get the clear idea of migration.
Are there any scripts available that can be applied to Liferay Database so that LR DB schema would be updated to next higher version.....?
Or please suggest me any alternative approach to do so...
