The market place needs some way to filter out all the EE based items. Having a screen of 'free' items is of little value if most of the items require a sub to the EE edition of liferay.

Those are free plugins to EE subscribers. There will be plugins that you have to pay even if have EE subscription.

I think what Rogers means is a filter to separate EE stuff with CE stuff. It's currently confusing. There were also some EE users trying to use the CE plugins only to find that they don't always work. It would be better to have 2 different pages from the beginning so EE users would only see EE plugins they can use knowing it'll work and CE users will be able to only see CE plugins.

There's too much noise and the download process is to complex that I really don't this is it as it is now.

You are correct. A clear delineation of items should be implemented to avoid confusion.

We are working on making it so that you can filter based on compatibility.
