Liferay : Cannot add Portlets to a newly created Liferay page .

What is the way to create a private Page in Liferay 6??

The steps i followed for this is , logged into liferay account using [e-mail]

Navigated to Control Panel

Selected the Option Page Templates

Clicked on Add to Create a New Page under Private tab ( A Page has been created )

For this newly created Page , i have added Permissions to it (gave it Full permissions clicked on all the CheckBoxes ) , bascally i want to set this page as Default landing Page . and when i opened this page and tried to add the Developed Portlets to it , its displaying a Message , please configure this page

Quick Ref : Please check the type of page which you given while creation.If you wants to add portlets the type must be of Portlet.
For default landing page you can refer to portal.properties

Ya , as i said , i created a page under Page templates in Control Panel .

Please let me know , if this is not the correct way of creating pages .

So once the page is created , i will place my Custom Portlets under this page and will place this under Portal-ext.properties file for default landing page options .

But Somehow i am not sure if this is the correct way of creating the page or not , Please specify . Thanks .

As i understand

you mentioned

selete the option pages under selete the private page and create the page...
and follow the anil comment.........

Thanks Jaid , so i will navigate to Control Panel , From that , i will select the option pages and private and thus create the page , i will try this . thanks .
