aperate report or jasper report with liferay

hello,

I work with eclipse indigo and liferay IDE for eclipse

I also work with liferay 6.1

My goal is to test a sample reporting included in liferay

I found several tools: jasper report and report aperate ....

but in the site of aperate report I found that it test and configure with maven

I need help to integrate and test aperate report or jasper report with Liferay (6.0 or 6.1)

and what are the file to download

Okay, the aperte reports wiki doesn't say anything about using maven: http://code.google.com/p/aperte-reports/wiki/Tutorial.

The quick installation guide doesn't mention maven.

The advanced installation guide does mention maven, but only in respect of building from source, which you are not required to do.

No, there's no one to hold your hand and lead you through the deployment and usage. Yes, there can be a lot of configuration stuff that you have to figure out to get it working, but at least there's documentation available to help you through this.

Do yourself a favor and follow the instructions in the basic install guide and then do the tutorial. If you still have questions after all of that, pose them here and we'll try to help.

Otherwise, it just seems like you want us to do your work for you w/o having done any legwork on your own...

One more thing, for easy start with Aperte Reports it is best to download JBoss+Aperte Reports+Liferay6.0 bundle from sourceforge.

as I say I work with liferay IDE in eclipse
liferay-portal-tomcat-6.1.0
and liferay-plugins-sdk-6.1.0

the goal is to run and test a sample example of reporting ( using aperate report) in liferay

I downloaded aperte-reports-ui-2.2.2.war and I have deployed under liferay ( liferay-portal-tomcat-6.1.0 \ deploy )

and I create a new liferay project ( plugin type : portlet )

and when I click on ADD ---> MORE I find Aperte reports

but if I click on ADD Aperte Cyclic Reports this error is displayed :

Cyclic Reports Aperte is temporarily unavailable.

someone can help me

When this sort of thing is on the page, there is usually something in the logs to indicate what the problem was.

Aperte report is not part of Liferay. You'll probably do better contacting Aperte project to get support.

Aperte report has a Google Group at the following site. Join the group and post your questions there. It said the language of the group is Polish but everyone is writing in English.

If you obtain Liferay 6.1EE, there is a reporting plugin. Unfortunately, CE does not have reporting feature and is not supported in this forum. If you are interested in using a third party plugin, please contact the forum of the developer. Jaspersoft has their own forum. I am also a committer to Jaspersoft software so I sometimes do offer support at their forum. But as a rule, I do not offer assistance on software not directly related to the appropriate forum.

Hi! I insert the fields in Amharic language into the database. When i am tried to print the values using jasper report that displays the fields only in English and it didn't display the Amharic language fields. I attached the image of i report preview.

Liferay's reporting feature is only available to EE users. It's not available in CE version.

Jaspersoft used to offer jasperreport plugin to Liferay but discontinued after they decided to develop their own server software, JasperServer.
You can download JasperServer from jaspersoft site.
