Is there any configuration required for this portlet?

I see nothing in the docs and nothing in the wiki or on the forums...

I have tried it with no success, but I also had no luck sending from a free web-based SMS service.

I can send myself an SMS from my providers website, so I know it works.

Yes.you only need to have a SMTP running in your server (like Sendmail). and configure your mail-service file

could you please help me , how to implement sms portlet , if you source code can you me that to my mail [e-mail].

I got it.

I have configured SMS server name/IP address in the following file
C\training\liferay\tomcat\conf\Catalina\localhost\ROOT.xml.
In Resource name="mail/MailSession" tag, replaced our server name with localhost. Then, restarted the Tomcat.

Hi All,

I have the same requirement that is I need to send the SMS to mobiles. How should I configure the SMS portlet of liferay for SMS to mobile phones. I alredy registerd with smsgateway. So how to configure that smsgateway provided API with liferay SMS portlet?
