22.51 As per [~christopher.kian] question, I'm going to explain here what is the purpose of removing validation from FileSystemStore (FSS. When this validation was in place, it tried to catch that same root paths where configured for the AdvancedFileSystemStore (AFSS) and the FSS. But we realised that doing the validation at the activation of both components could cause the issue described in this ticket, because the configuration for AFSS was not required: it could use default values ([https://github.com/liferay/liferay-portal/blob/master/modules/apps/foundation/portal-store/portal-store-file-system/src/main/java/com/liferay/portal/store/file/system/configuration/AdvancedFileSystemStoreConfiguration.java#L33] and [https://github.com/liferay/liferay-portal/blob/master/modules/apps/foundation/portal-store/portal-store-file-system/src/main/java/com/liferay/portal/store/file/system/configuration/FileSystemStoreConfiguration.java#L33]) that will collide if both of the stores use default values (_do not modify anything but update_). For that reason, we forced portal administrators to declare a configuration for the AFSS, being responsible of using the right paths. And that is so because in the end they are configuring their own systems and they must know that migrating a store from one to the other in the same "path", independently if they are FSS or AFSS, could cause loss of data. That's the main reason of requiring a configuration for the AFSS and removing the validation: they portal administrador must take care of it. Hope it helps
