Hi all,

Can anybody know how to add search capabilities to our portlet.

I have gone through the link of wiki that is
Adding Search Capabilities to our portlet.

But I am unable to do this. can anybody explain simple way.

I have created two classes those are 1. SampleIndexer.java

2. SampleOpenSearchImpl.java


I have a doubt here when will this class SampleIndexer called in my portlet. I dont know how to add and getDocument here.


If anyone knows could you please explain in detail.

Hi Devi,

I think a very good step for you will be to have a look at the Book, Liferay in Action. There is a perfect step by step manual, how to achieve this. I would recommend to browse the wiki, and documentation a bit, but as mentioned, the book is the easiest and fastest way.
