How to create pop up in liferay 6

i am using liferay 6 and plugin sdk 6.
i tried to create a popup in liferay 6,but i was not successful.
can anyone tell me the steps to create a popup in detail ie what code i have to write and which all file i need to touch.

i want to open this popup when i click on a button of one of my portlet created by sdk.th e portlet which will be opened as popup is also created using sdk.

i have converted struts application into portlet.i am calling the jsp using .action.
so please let me know how can i call the page of the portlet in popup.

any idea or suggestions are welcome..

Hi..
I saw your blog.I haven't tried it,but i have some queries about it.
As read that alloy can be used only with html.
In you example also you have shown an html content in the popup.
since i want to show the portlet in popup,so can you help me in that.

any idea or suggestions are welcome.
