Plugin to extend a plugin Liferay 7

Hi All,
I'm trying to extend the calendar portion of the Liferay CE Forms and Workflow marketplace app. I tried looking for documentation or guides, but they all seem to be written for Liferay 6.2. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
