Where to change the Sql queries of Asset publisher portlet @ liferay 6.0

Hi Experts,

I am using liferay 6.0 . I am using liferay Out of box asset publisher portlet to display popular discussions in my community.The problem is actually i need to display only the thread names(Not replies) in the portlet.But our Asset publisher portlet is showing threads along with replies also.For that i think we need to change the queries i think .Could any one guide me where to change the queries and how to achive this.
