Site Users / Administrators

Liferay newbie
I have read the documentation and have a liferay server up and running with tomcat and a postgres db
Is it possible to limit site administrator to see only a list of specific users vs all users ?
I would like the site administrator to be able to add users and assign roles on only his site and no see all the uses on system.

I am open to using ldap or other authentication tools to accomplish this

How can you add a user from some other site if you cannot see the other users?

Well, if you're using LDAP, then you should be able to deactivate all kinds of user management (easiest way: Don't assign Site Administrator roles, create your own ones). Also, you might want to look into Organizations: Organization Administrators can administer the users in their organization but not others that are not in their organization.
