creating portlet on a fly..

Hi..
I am using liferay 5.2.3 with tomcat 5 on my windows xp. I want to know how can i create a portlet on a fly ie
1) i have created a simple jsp portlet having some links.
2) when i click on any of the links another portlet opens just like when we click on Add Application link Add application portlet opens on a fly..
3) This portlet consists of some portlets like wiki,image gallery,etc which when clicked opens that portlet in new window.

I just want to say how can i create a portlet just like "add application" portlet in liferay?

Any idea or suggestions are welcome..
