I'm constantly postponing the update. In fact, it's not hard to do it - the only nontrivial part is the update of the Navigation portlet, as it involves unfolding a liferay-ui tag into an overridden page. If you can live without this tag, the code might work almost unchanged. The sourcecode is on github and
linked from the app homepage on marketplace. After all, the complexity of this plugin is a "proof of concept". Look at the trivial amount of code.
