Portlet Edit mode keeps logging the user out....

I am at a complete loss here...

I have a portlet deployed on one "page"/tab...things appear to work fine...
I can access the Look/Feel, config, and my own "EditMode"/preferences...

I am using the same portlet on another page...but when I attempt to access the
"Edit" mode of this portlet, it "logs off" / invalidates the user session...
I can see in the dock, the "username" disappears and only my guest tabs will now appear and
I have to login again before I can do anything...

I restarted liferay and that did not help...

I googled some stuff and found things about permissions but that has not helped...

Anyone have any ideas whatsoever...
