problems with installation

Hi!

I have some real problems of installing the liferay.

I acheved all until the point:


root@vps [/opt/liferay-portal-5.2.3/tomcat-5.5.27/bin]# ./startup.sh
Using CATALINA_BASE: /opt/liferay-portal-5.2.3/tomcat-5.5.27
Using CATALINA_HOME: /opt/liferay-portal-5.2.3/tomcat-5.5.27
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/liferay-portal-5.2.3/tomcat-5.5.27/temp
Using JRE_HOME: /usr/java/jre1.6.0_13


But after that when I try to open the localhost http://74.126.30.84:8080/ it gives me the page of Apache tomcat, but nothing further.
Please can you indicate what can be wrong? Is it a problem of Tomcat or something else?

Are you using a Liferay-tomcat bundle or Liferay on a fresh tomcat?

Have you deployed Liferay at the root context or at some other context path?
