FIXED - Getting lifray to work with gmail?

We are using Google Apps non-profits with the domain name http://visionontv.org to provide our mail back end for liferay, but despite configuring it in the new GUI I cant get it to work. Can anyone help?

Found various outa date help pages and forum posts but non of them seam to work, dose liferay work with gmail.

We whont to make the video site public, this is the last bit of the puzzle before going live (:

Do I need to have security terned on or off?
And it would be a rarely nice to have a send test mail button on the GUI settings page as currently am having to change a users PW to force system to send a mail.

Site goes live on Saturday have to have it working by then... help (:

FIXED

It was a problem with Gmail not Liferay

Have to set the correct ports, have to tern on support for POP and SMPT in each e-mail you setup in Gmail.
