Liferay bundles seem corrupt

Hi
I have been trying to download liferay bundled with tomcat 6.0 and tomcat 5.5. On extraction the former lists certain parts of the archive as corrupt , nevertheless i tried to start tomcat 6 and it just doesnt start up. No logs no nothing. I guess the archive is corrupt.
And the tomcat 5.5 bundle is always corrupt ! What could be the problem ?

I have the same problem.
Are the file corrupted?!

I managed with an alternate download.

this is bundled with tomcat 5.5 actually.

I would not want to do this ideally.
The downloads from liferay sourceforge are corrupt. would a download manager help ?
