Changing the default language in 5.2.2?

Hi,

How do I change the default language for new users in Liferay 5.2.2?

I tried setting this through the user interface (Control Panel / Portal / Settings / Display Settings) but that didn't seem to work.

I also tried the following configuration file setting but new user's still end up with an english language UI.

webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/system-ext.properties:

user.country=FI
user.language=fi_FI

Hi,

Replace the entry user.language=fi_FI in your webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/system-ext.properties with the following entry:

user.language=fi

Try using this. This will help you change the default language for new users.

Hi,

I just tried that but unfortunately it didn't seem to work.
New users still get english as their default language.
