Execute custom sql in different dbs

Requirement:
I have two Databases in remote locations. I have to execute one custom sql query on table1 from db1 and fetch the data.
That data inserting/updating in table2 of db2.

How can i achieve this requirement.

None of this has anything to do with Liferay, it is a simple coding question to anyone who has used hibernate, jpa, or even jdbc.
