IllegalStateException after login

Periodically, when my users log into my Liferay-based website, they get an error like the one in the attached screenshot. Below is the full URL that is shown in the screenshot:
This happens immediately after sign in. They can still sign in and go about their business but this error makes my website look shoddy. Users go to the login page, hit the Sign in button, and get this error.
For the life of me I can't figure out why this happens.

What version of Liferay are you using? Is it CE or EE? Is there anything in the logs that would help diagnose the issue?

Liferay 6.0.6 CE. With nothing in the log file showing up.

It looks to me that after a user logins, Liferay is trying to redirect the user to a webpage that doesn't exist. This is weird because the user is supposed to brought back to the login page after they login.

Steven, are you seeing this issue only in IE or in multiple browsers ?

That's a good question. I'm not 100% sure, but I think in all browsers. If I remember correctly, I've seen this issue on IE 9, IE 10, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

Actually, I can confirm that this error only happens when using IE.
Does anyone know if this still happens in Liferay 6.1 GA3?

Hi,
We are facing similar issues after we did a migration from 6.1CE to 6.2EE version.
Certain users are getting the attached error message when trying to login using IE browser. This issue is not occurring with other browsers.
Any help/suggestions?
