Does Liferay Faces 2.1 support ICEfaces 1.8/Seam 2.2?

I haven't checked the project in nearly a year. I had a previous post that asked whether Liferay Faces 3.x supported ICEfaces 1.8/Seam 2.2 approximately 9 months ago:

I just checked the download page and I see that 2.1.x supports JSF 1.2:

Does this mean Liferay Faces 2.1 now supports ICEfaces 1.8/Seam 2.2 (I'm assuming I need to use Liferay Portal 6.1 instead of 6.0)? If so, how does Liferay Faces 2.1 differ from Liferay Faces 3.x in terms of features?

Liferay Faces 2.1 does indeed support JSF 1.2 based portlets, but ICEfaces 1.8 (based on the JSF 1.2 API) does not rely on Liferay Faces Bridge. Instead, ICEfaces 1.8 has its own portlet bridge. So there is no change in status with regards to lack of support for Seam 2.2.

Thanks Neil. Just to clarify, does this mean Liferay Faces 2.1 includes full support for all three Liferay Faces subprojects, i.e. Liferay Faces Alloy, Liferay Faces bridge, and Liferay Faces Portal?

Liferay Faces Bridge 2.1 fully supports JSF 1.2, and has been certified by Oracle as JSR 329 Compliant.

The Liferay Faces Alloy 2.1 and Liferay Faces Portal 2.1 exist as well, but have less features because we didn't backport the JSF2 composite components.
